Narayanganj Correspondent: On the occasion of the Sharadiya Durga Puja festival, a sacred Srimad Bhagavad Gita distribution ceremony was held among the followers of the Sanatan faith, organized by the Bangladesh Sanatan Sangha in Bandar, Narayanganj. The Gita distribution event was organized yesterday in a festive atmosphere at the Bandar Rally Leatheras Sarbajanin Durga Puja Mandap.
The Chief Guest of the event was Alhaj Abul Kausar Asha, Political Secretary to the Member of Parliament for the Narayanganj-5 constituency, Alhaj Advocate Abul Kalam, and Joint Convenor of the Narayanganj City BNP.
In his speech as the Chief Guest, he said, "Bangladesh is a country of communal harmony. Since time immemorial, people of all religions here have been celebrating their religious festivals shoulder to shoulder. The Sharadiya Durga Puja festival is not just for the followers of the Sanatan faith; today it has transformed into a universal festival. Religious values and the teachings of the Gita inspire people to be honest and humane." He wished for the success of the festival and the well-being of everyone.
The Special Guests at the event were Shovon Kamal, Standing Member of the Bangladesh Poribesh Andolon (BAPA),Suman Lal, President of the Bangladesh Sanatan Sangha; and Ajit Das, General Secretary of the organization.
During the event, the speakers highly praised this humane and religious initiative of the Bangladesh Sanatan Sangha and called for continuing such social and religious activities in the future. The Gita distribution ceremony was attended by leaders of the Puja Celebration Committee, local dignitaries, and a large number of Sanatan devotees.
