Md Mojibur Rahman : The next two generations of the family of legendary singer Prabal Chowdhury are set to captivate music lovers with a romantic duet song this upcoming Eid-ul-Adha. Titled “Bole Dite Paro,” the song features vocals by Ranjan Chowdhury, the youngest son of the late iconic artist, and Ritisha Chowdhury Poonam, daughter of Prabal Chowdhury’s eldest son, Tapash Chowdhury.
The late Prabal Chowdhury was a celebrated artist of the Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra and one of the most admired voices in Bangladeshi modern and film music.
Ranjan Chowdhury, popularly known as “Manash,” is also a five-time national table tennis champion of Bangladesh. Professionally, he is a dental surgeon. Alongside his successful sports and medical career, he has established himself as a respected musician with four solo albums and nearly 25 duet and mixed albums to his credit.
Ranjan’s musical journey began in 2001 through playback singing in Bangla films under the composition of legendary music director Alauddin Ali. Since then, he has earned widespread admiration for both his compositions and melodious vocal performances.
Continuing that musical legacy, Ranjan has now composed and performed the romantic track alongside the talented young singer Ritisha Chowdhury Poonam, whom he considers like his own daughter. The lyrics of the song were written by Sougat Rana Kabiyal, while the music arrangement was done by Sabyasachi Rony.
Speaking about the collaboration, Ranjan said, “Poonam is very talented and possesses a melodious voice. I felt she would sing this songp beautifully, which is why I personally trained her on every line of the song for nearly two months. I believe listeners will truly enjoy it. I am personally very excited to sing with someone I consider like my own daughter.”
The song was recorded at K.S Digital Studio and will be released on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha through Ranjan Chowdhury Facebook Page and Ranjan Chowdhury YouTube Channel
It is also noteworthy that Ranjan Chowdhury’s paternal aunts include acclaimed artists Uma Khan, a recipient of the National Film Award, and Kalyani Ghosh, who was honored with the prestigious Ekushey Padak for her contribution to music.
