One killed in collision with illegal Alamsadhu and Pakhi van on Santoshpur-Andulbaria road in Chuadanga

Chuadanga Correspondent : The van driver was killed on the spot in a head-on collision with a battery-powered bird van driven by an illegal alamsadhu driven by a high-speed Salomachine engine on the Santoshpur-Andulbaria road of Jibannagar upazila in Chuadanga. The accident took place on Saturday (July 4) around 9:30 am in front of Shaha Bricks brick kiln on Santoshpur-Andulbaria road of the upazila.
The deceased van driver Ripon Hossain (50) is the son of Mahi Uddin of Brijpara village Santoshpur.

Citing eyewitnesses, Jibannagar police station officer in-charge Solaiman Sekh said that this morning Ripon Hossain was going towards Andulbaria with his van. On reaching Shaha Bricks Brickyard, the speeding Alamsadhu driver coming from the opposite direction lost control and rammed the Pakhi van, causing the van driver to rip off the Ripon and fall into the bricks placed on the side of the road. At that time he got serious injuries in different parts of his body and died on the spot. Alamsadhu and Pakhivan were crushed in the accident. After receiving the information about the road accident, the police quickly reached the spot and made a report on the condition of the body. Appropriate legal action will be taken in this regard, he said.
