Millions mourn Khamenei; Trump hints at Netanyahu meeting

Millions of people have attended funeral prayers for Iran’s late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and the four members of his family killed in a US-Israeli air strike on his compound on February 28.
US President Donald Trump says “neither side will shoot the other during the funeral proceedings” and talks with Iran will continue after the ceremonies.
Israeli forces continue attacks on Lebanon and Gaza killing at least one person in southern Lebanon and two Palestinians in Gaza City and Jabalia refugee camp.
President Erdogan accuses Israel of undermining the recent memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran, adding Turkiye “stands ready to support any effort to achieve peace in the region”.
