Mehdi Hasan Manik: Deputy Assistant Officer of Union Land Office under Amin Bazar Revenue Circle of Savar Upazila of Dhaka District Md. Nazrul Islam has been working as a responsible assistant officer of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Government for a long time with proper reputation.

 While he was in charge of the Deputy Assistant Officer of the Union Land Office of Aminbazar Revenue Circle, all the Mauza lands under the Amin Bazar Union Land Office were getting the desired service from him.  In our investigation, we talked to them several times, we want to know from them, whether Nazrul Sahib takes bribe, many people tell us that he does not take bribe. We are secretly curious with many people who are desperate in the land office but why he does not take bribes. In response to this question, most of the service users of the union said that they are unwilling to take government fees in addition to the amount that the government determines online.  Investigation shows that many times if the poor and helpless people are unable to pay the rent, he waives some amount according to the government rules, he is always satisfied with his service. 

 He has already earned a wide reputation as an honest and dedicated officer. But in recent times some nefarious circles have been implicating him for their nefarious purposes and tarnishing his reputation by spreading false baseless fake news. 

When asked about this, Nazrul Islam told The Republic, “I strongly condemn and protest the false baseless news that is being spread in electronic print and social media about me. Journalism is a great profession and many news workers use this profession to mislead the public with wrong information. He requested people to be aware of this wrong information. 

We expect journalists to report objective news. News that works for the welfare of the country and people.
