Strict action will be taken against those spreading rumours of question leaks and creating confusion: DC Farida

Mehedi Hasan Savar Dhaka : Dhaka District Commissioner Ms Farida Khanam has warned that strict legal action will be taken against those who spread rumours of question leaks, creating confusion among the public or attempting to disrupt the examination environment. On Monday (6 July), after visiting the HSC and equivalent examination centre at Siddheshwari Girls’ College in the capital, she made this statement while speaking to reporters.

The District Commissioner said that maximum preparations have been made by the administration to conduct the examinations in a fair, peaceful, and cheat-free environment. Executive magistrates, law enforcement agencies, and relevant officials are on duty at every examination centre.

She stated that if any confusion is created by spreading rumours of question leaks through social media or any other means, legal action will be taken immediately. She urged that no one should pay heed to such misinformation and that no information should be disseminated without verification.

Ms Farida Khanam further stated that all kinds of assistance have been ensured so that candidates can take the examinations without any hindrance. She called upon parents, teachers, and all relevant parties to cooperate in maintaining a fair examination environment.

During the visit, she observed the overall environment of the examination centre, security arrangements, and various aspects of examination management.
